MOBILE D.O.T. DOC
Professional Services
A 2014 change in Federal commercial transportation law has created what will be a tremendous shortfall of available D.O.T. medical examiners qualified to perform C.D.L. physical examinations. Mobile D.O.T. Doc has been created to help resolve the disparity by providing required certified medical examinations at locations where drivers work.Inside of a fully equipped and professionally staffed medical “office-on-wheels” - in about 20 minutes - “fitness to drive “examinations and medical certificates will be provided for commercial drivers where they work. Drivers will not have to search for locations that are inconvenient, hard to find, or difficult to park in.
The National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (National Registry) is a federal program that establishes requirements for healthcare professionals that perform physical qualification examinations for truck and bus drivers to become a certified medical examiner (CMEs) and be listed on the National Registry. Healthcare professionals must complete training and testing on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's (FMCSA) physical qualification standards and guidelines.
If you or your drivers worry that a medical condition will affect their driving status, we know how to steer them in the right direction to keep them trucking. Drivers will always be advised about healthy practices and how to improve their chance of getting and staying certified.
